US-based alcohol beverage importer and distributor MHW is expanding its global presence by offering a European service platform for alcohol exports.

The platform will provide services such as European legislation consulting, customer service, operations support and accounting.

It will also include transition services for brands looking to increase their exports, a cost-effective model for market entry, and development services for European business infrastructure.

MHW’s president John Beaudette said: “There is a growing demand for the US craft products in Europe that we are now able to serve with a depth of distribution and reach that has been previously unavailable to producers without substantial investment.

As part of this initiative, MHW announced that craft spirits producer Templeton Rye will be the first major brand distributed to Europe using its new service platform.

Templeton Rye’s global sales executive vice-president Shane Fitzharris said: “Templeton Rye is delighted to enter European markets for the first time in partnership with MHW.

“We’re seeing unprecedented demand for Templeton Rye Whiskey internationally and we’re able to focus on brand-building for our European consumers while MHW facilitates the critical operational support we need to succeed.”

Operating through a logistics hub in the Netherlands, the European service platform will be supported by offices in the UK and New York.
