MGP Ingredients has expanded its Green Hat Gin brand in the US market by partnering with Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC).

Under the partnership, RNDC will be the exclusive distributor of Green Hat Gin brand in Maryland and Washington, DC.

MGP Ingredients Brands vice-president Andrew Mansinne said: “We are proud to partner with RNDC to continue to build awareness and scale Green Hat Gin in Maryland and Washington, DC.

“We look forward to working with the expert teams at RNDC to realise the full potential of Green Hat Gin.”

The expansion of Green Hat Gin brand footprint in the US comes after MGP acquired Washington DC-based New Columbia Distillers in March.

Green Hat Gin operates a distillery in the Ivy City neighbourhood of Washington, DC and also includes a retail tasting room, bar and gin garden.

The company added that Green Hat was the first licensed distillery in Washington, DC after Prohibition.

Green Hat Gin is the latest addition to MGP’s portfolio, as well as the company’s only proprietary gin brand.

Other spirits brands offered by MGP include TILL American Wheat Vodka, George Remus Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Remus Repeal Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Rossville Union Master Crafted Straight Rye Whiskey, Rossville Union Barrel Proof Master Crafted Straight Rye Whiskey and Eight & Sand Blended Bourbon Whiskey.

MGP Ingredients distillery operations are spread across various locations in the US including Atchison, Kansas, Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and Washington DC.

In July 2018, RNDC agreed to distribute Eastside Distilling and John Rich’s whiskey brand in Michigan.

Redneck Riviera Whiskey is a collaboration between Eastside and multi-platinum country-music artist John Rich. It has expanded its reach with the opening of honky-tonk bar Redneck Riviera Las Vegas and a Nashville location this year.
