US-based premium distilled spirits supplier MGP Ingredients has expanded its portfolio with the release of its first proprietary Rye Whiskey label called Rossville Union.

Named after the company’s founding distillery in Lawrenceburg, Rossville Union will be available in two expressions: Rossville Union Master Crafted Straight Rye Whiskey and Rossville Union Master Crafted Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey.

MGP Ingredients Brands vice-president Andrew Mansinne said:  “With Rossville Union, we deliver two unique, perfectly-balanced rye whiskeys that show our distilling and blending expertise and character at its boldest.

“Rossville Union is crafted in the heart of rye whiskey country, in one of the most storied distilleries in the nation that has been in continuous production for almost two centuries.”

“With Rossville Union, we deliver two unique, perfectly-balanced rye whiskeys that show our distilling and blending expertise and character at its boldes.”

Aged for at least four years, the Rossville Union Master Crafted Straight Rye Whiskey offers a balance of sweet oak with rye spice.

Whereas the Rossville Union Master Crafted Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey has been drawn from 83 of the distillery’s finest barrel reserves and offers a spicy, vanilla nose, wood and caramel notes, and an exceptionally balanced oak and spice finish.

Both whiskeys are available in a flask shape bottle with the Rossville Union name and the distillery-of-origin date of 1847 embossed into the glass.

Rossville Union Master Crafted Straight Rye Whiskey is retailing for $39.99 per 750ml bottle, while Rossville Union Master Crafted Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey is available for $69.99 per 750ml bottle.

MGP is planning to launch both products in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin in June this year.
