The Coca-Cola Company has agreed to acquire Costa for £3.9bn ($5.1bn) from Whitbread.

Coca-Cola is a global beverage company, while Costa is a coffee brand with 4,000 retail outlets worldwide.

The acquisition will enable The Coca-Cola Company to set up a coffee platform in Europe, the Asia Pacific (APAC) and the Middle East and Africa.

Rothschild is the exclusive financial advisor for the deal, while Clifford Chance is the legal counsel and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom is the tax counsel to Coca-Cola for the transaction.

Agrial Group has completed an acquisition of Aston Manor Cider.

Agrial is an agricultural co-operative and food processor based in France, while Aston Manor is an independent cider maker based in the UK.

Agrial operates in the milk, fresh vegetables, fruit, beverage and meat sectors. It is one of the largest producers of cider in France, with an operational footprint in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic sectors.

The transaction enables Agrial to focus on cider development in Europe and rest of the world.

Black Storm Brewery has completed the acquisition of Autumn Brewing.

Both companies produce gluten-free drinks such as craft ales. Black Storm also operates a bottle shop and tasting room named Storm Cellar.

The acquisition enables Black Storm to strengthen its presence in the UK market and expand its business by adding gluten-free ale and lagers.

Dragon Jade International has agreed to acquire 80% of the issued and outstanding share capital of China Management Services.

Dragon Jade is a premier products and services provider based in China, while China Management Services is the parent company of the Montrose Group, which imports wine in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.

The purchase consideration includes HK$2m ($254,798) in cash and 100,000 in restricted common shares of Dragon Jade.

Dragon Jade intends to focus on Chinese regions, including Shanghai, Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang to generate $10m in revenue in the first year of the acquisition.
