Maryhill Winery has announced plans to open a fourth tasting room in Woodinville county, US.

Located in the Columbia River Gorge near Seattle, the new facility is expected to expand the company’s portfolio of regional wine destinations.

The winery will launch its tasting room on 13-14 April at 7.3-acre mixed-use development, The Waterfront Vancouver. Maryhill expects this area will provide an opportunity to better serve its wine club members in the Portland-Vancouver area.

Maryhill Winery co-owner Craig Leuthold said: “With the expansion of our tasting rooms into other key markets in Washington and the Portland-Vancouver metro, we are focused more than ever on making our high-quality, approachable wines accessible to more people.

“This is a big step for us, but one we have been planning for the past year. We’re excited to bring our immersive tasting room experience to more customers across the state.”

The 4,890ft² satellite tasting room in Vancouver is located on the shores of the Columbia River, downstream of Maryhill’s flagship tasting room in Goldendale.

This will be the company’s second satellite tasting room to be opened in two years. The company witnessed rapid growth in Spokane, Washington, after its first satellite tasting room was established in November 2017.

Leuthold added: “Visiting Maryhill is an experience. Whether you visit our flagship winery in Goldendale, or our urban satellite tasting rooms in Spokane or Vancouver, you’ll find beautiful scenery, frequent live music and special events, food menus featuring small plates and charcuterie, and an expansive selection of award-winning wines.”

The Vancouver tasting room is located near Grant Street Pier, an interactive public art piece designed by artist Larry Kirkland.

Maryhill is also making preparations for a third satellite tasting room in Woodinville, Washington, which will be more than double the size of its Vancouver site.

Expected to be opened late-2019, Maryhill Winery will occupy 10,000ft² of Woodinville’s Hollywood Schoolhouse, which was constructed by the Derby School District in 1912.
