Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits (MBWS) has finalised the sale of its MBWS Polska and Polmos Lancut in Poland to United Beverages group.

The sale is allegedly in line with MBWS 2019-2022 strategic plan. In Poland, the company focuses on accelerating the commercial strategy for returning to profitability.

The deal was first announced on 16 July, when MBWS signed an agreement with the United Beverages Group to sell its entire stake in MBWS Polska and part of Polmos Lancut’s outstanding shares.

Under the agreement, United Beverages will be making payments of the agreed sale price in several instalments.

MBWS added that the agreement concluded after a competitive and rigorous sale process.

Under the agreement, United Beverages Group will continue the production of Sobieski vodka for MBWS at the sites covered by this sale.

Additionally, United Beverages Group agreed to import a number of MBWS international brands through the implementation of a new distribution agreement.

At the time of signing the agreement, Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits CEO Andrew Highcock said: “I am pleased that we have been able to reach an agreement with the United Beverages Group, one of the largest and most established players in the Polish alcoholic beverages market, with over 25 years of experience.

“I am convinced that we found a great home for the Polish assets, which will secure their long-term future.”

Earlier this month, MBWS signed a unilateral promise with Grands vins JC Boisset for the acquisition of 100% company shares of Moncigale SAS.
