US-based Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) has partnered with global brewer Anheuser Busch InBev (AB InBev) to launch the Drinkworks Home Bar in the US.

Featuring 24 different recipes, the new pod-based machine prepares beers, ciders and cocktails.

Drinkworks’ CEO Nathaniel Davis said: “This joint venture (JV) was created with the mission of making the entire drinking experience, from purchase to creation and enjoyment, more remarkable through innovation.

“Drinkworks Home Bar machine calculates the required amount of water and carbonation for each proprietary Drinkworks Pod.”

“We started with a clear opportunity. Consumers want to serve and enjoy complex cocktails at home, but it’s time-consuming, expensive and messy. We iterated with users throughout the development process, and we’re confident that the appliance we designed with them solves this perfectly.”

Drinkworks Home Bar machine calculates the required amount of water and carbonation for each proprietary Drinkworks Pod. It creates beverages in 3.9oz, 6.5oz and 8.1oz sizes and carbonates water using non-refillable cartridges.

The machine dispenses 15 types of cocktail, including mojito, classic margarita, gin and tonic, Moscow mule and white wine peach sangria.

The beer pods comprise English and German beer options from Becks.

Available under an early access pilot programme in St. Louis, Missouri, the Home Bar will be offered for an introductory price of $299 in the US.
