Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) will use Intellicheck’s Age ID technology solution across Kansas to combat the issue of underage drinking.

Established in 1994, Intellicheck provides real-time identification, authentication and age verification solutions.

Intellicheck CEO Bryan Lewis said: “We are very pleased to welcome Kansas to the expanding group of enforcement agencies nationwide that are effectively using Age ID to curb underage access to alcohol and all age-restricted products.

“Our enforcement agencies nationwide are effectively using Age ID to curb underage access to alcohol and all age-restricted products.”

“We believe that we will continue to see a steady growth in adoption of our state-of-the-art technology solution because of its exceptional track record of delivering pivotal mission successes.”

Intellicheck claims that its Age ID authenticates identification documents and verifies age information in real-time with 99.9% accuracy.

Drawing on a comprehensive and proprietary database, the solution ensures information is timely and accurate.

The solution can also be deployed on mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. It is designed to be implemented in communities where higher education institutions are located.

In addition, it is capable of authenticating driver licenses and other forms of identification to prevent the use of altered and fake IDs.

Kansas ABC is a division of the Kansas Department of Revenue. By addressing the risks involved with underage drinking, the ABC enforcement agency will develop methods to reduce such drinking and many other problems associated with it.

ABC agents are certified law enforcement officers located throughout the state and work in all 105 counties.
