Canadian health wellness and lifestyle company Jusu Bars (Jusu) has announced the acquisition of speciality coffee and tea company Westbloom.

Based in Calgary, Alberta, Westbloom is a drinks manufacturer engaged in the production of a range of products including coffees, teas and cold brew beverages.

Jusu founder and CEO Bruce Mullen said: “Our mission at Jusu is to provide our customers with high quality, organic, chemical-free and environmentally friendly products.

“Westbloom is a perfect fit for Jusu, as their coffees, teas and cold brew products are of the highest quality. Westbloom has shown a great commitment to their innovative approach and the plant-based movement.

“The synergies of Jusu and Westbloom’s culture and products will allow us to offer a complete product line to meet the needs of our customers.”

Jusu produces plant-based products, operating in multiple brick-and-mortar juice bar franchise locations.

All the company’s food and beverage products are plant-based, certified organic food and free from chemicals.

The acquisition of the Calgary-based beverage company will enable Jusu to enhance its offerings portfolio with the addition of quality plant-based coffee at all its locations.

Upon deal completion, two key executives from Westbloom will join Jusu’s executive team.

Jusu intends to expand its business to other North American markets, meeting the increasing consumer demand for organic plant-based products in the future.
