Beam Suntory’s brand Jim Beam has released Jim Beam Distiller’s Cut, an unfiltered and 100-proof Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey in the US.

The company claims that the unfiltered bourbon has been hand-selected by Jim Beam’s master distiller Fred Noe.

Noe said: “We skipped the chill filtration process, so the liquid gets from barrel to bottle a little differently. The result is unique to other Jim Beam offerings, with a fuller taste and longer finish compared to your typical bourbon.”

Aged for five to six years, Jim Beam Distiller’s Cut combines caramel sweetness with charred oak, which is enriched with light fruit notes.

“Jim Beam Distiller’s Cut will be available across the US for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $22.99 for 750ml.”

Beam Suntory North American whiskey vice-president Rob Mason said: “At Jim Beam, we are consistently innovating to offer our consumers a wide range of products. Jim Beam Distiller’s Cut is different from our other products because of the post-ageing process.

“Our Master Distiller has decided to release this batch at a time when bourbon drinkers, more than ever, are anxious to discover something unique.”
