Alcoholic beverage distributor James Clay has acquired Beer Direct to expand its footprint in the Midlands, UK.

James Clay will take over all of Beer Direct’s operations and increase the availability of its products.

Established in 1991, Beer Direct supplies a wide range of beers, ciders and jenevers to a variety of trade sites.

This acquisition marks the second major expansion for James Clay following its purchase of the wholesale arm of London beer specialist Utobeer.
