The Jack Daniel’s Distillery has expanded its single-barrel whiskey collection with the addition of Heritage Barrel Tennessee.

The new limited-edition, single barrel whiskey was made using various barrel-toasting techniques.

Around 200 custom-made American white oak barrels were created for the whiskey, which is flavoured with vanilla and sweet baking spices.

“The unique barrel toasting behind Heritage Barrel creates a flavour you won’t find in any other single barrel expression.”

Jack Daniel’s Distillery’s master distiller Jeff Arnett’s team of whiskey makers slowly heated the hand-crafted heritage barrels to achieve a deeper, richer toasted layer before being charred.

The product was then matured at the company’s barrelhouses in Lynchburg, Tennessee.

Jeff Arnett said: “We hold ourselves to the highest standard when crafting and selecting Jack Daniel’s single barrel products. The unique barrel toasting behind Heritage Barrel creates a flavour you won’t find in any other single barrel expression.”

The limited-edition single-barrel whiskey is available in a 750ml bottle and sold for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $64.99.

The Jack Daniel Cooperage is capable of producing more than 1,500 barrels a day. The company makes whiskeys such as Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey, Gentleman Jack Double Mellowed Tennessee Whiskey and Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey, as well as Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye, Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select and Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails.
