illy caffè North America has introduced a new coffee line featuring four custom-roasted flavours.

Called Arabica Selection, the new line features Brazil (Caramel), Colombia (Fruit), Ethiopia (Floral) and Guatemala (Chocolate) variants. The flavours were designed to reflect the origin of the coffee beans used for each offering.

illy’s in-house Aroma Lab, Sensory Lab and Food Science Lab partnered with coffee experts to create the individual roasting profiles and ensure a high-quality product.

“We created proprietary roasting profiles for each origin to create extraordinary taste experiences for passionate coffee lovers.”

Arabica Selection Brazil is claimed to have an intense, caramel-dominant taste profile, while Arabica Selection Ethiopia is more delicate with floral notes.

illycaffè CEO Massimiliano Pogliani said: “It all starts with the unique illy blend, developed consistently year after year, that give us deep knowledge of the coffee origins combined with our direct trade model that works closely with coffee growers to produce the highest quality Arabica beans.

“From there, the full power of our scientific resources and expertise enter the equation, which in this case created proprietary roasting profiles for each origin to create extraordinary taste experiences for passionate coffee lovers.”

All of the flavours will be available in 250g cans, while the Brazil and Colombia variants will be available in both 250g cans and in Keurig K-Cup pods.

The cans will be available for $15, while the K-Cups will be retailed for $12 per ten-pack across North America at illy caffè’s bars and shops, as well as on its website.

Established in 1933 in Trieste, illycaffè offers coffee products in 43 countries.
