US-based flavoured water maker hint has introduced a new line of beverages in the market.

Packaged in 200ml tetra boxes, the new range will be available in watermelon, cherry, blackberry and apple flavours.

The line is claimed to be suitable for vegans with no added sugar or diet sweeteners. It is also free from monosodium glutamate (MSG), nuts, soy, gluten, calories and preservatives.

hint’s founder and CEO Kara Goldin said: “We want to help the whole family lead healthier lives. I love the idea that we have something for children that helps them fall in love with water at an early age.

“I love the idea that we have something for children that helps them fall in love with water at an early age.”

“That’s the real inspiration! And we had so much fun creating this special treat just for kids that they can carry around, throw in their lunchbox and enjoy throughout the day.

“We didn’t have to reinvent the wheel, we took our top three flavours that made us number one plus a special variety of apple we had been saving just for the kids, and we reimagined and redesigned the packaging.”

Currently, hint water for kids is exclusively available on the company’s website, but it will soon be expanded to Costco locations and grocery and speciality stores across the US.

Goldin further added: “More and more these days being an entrepreneur means being an advocate for the consumer. I’m thinking about health first, getting laser focused on what’s going into our bodies and then creating enjoyable products that make us feel good about the decisions we make every day.”

Goldin is working with legislators in Congress to include unsweetened flavoured water in school snack and lunch programmes.
