US-based grass-fed milk producer Hart Dairy has formed a joint venture (JV) with the Australian distribution company Kollaras and Co (Kollaras) for distributing dairy products across the Asian market from the US, Australia, and New Zealand.

Dubbed Dairy Fresh New Zealand, the venture will combine Kollaras’s experience in the Asian market with Hart Dairy’s understanding of the dairy category. This will allow Hart Dairy to offer its line of dairy products to the Asian region.

Kollaras and Co director Michael Kollaras said: “With our distribution network of more than 20,000 outlets in seven continents, we are regularly asked if we can supply dairy products to our buyers and wholesalers.

“Hart Dairy is an excellent fit for us to fulfil this need and we are excited to work with CEO Tim Connell and the Hart Dairy team on this joint venture. We are also encouraged by the significant opportunities offered in the Asian region as we begin to fulfil substantial orders through Dairy Fresh New Zealand.”

“Working with the Kollaras and Co team is a natural step for us to expand our ‘Grass 365’ dairy product offerings into Asia.”

Located near Augusta, Georgia, Hart Dairy is said to be one of the major single-source producers of 100% free-range, grass-fed milk in North America.

Its product portfolio includes a wide range of dairy products, including fresh milk, yoghurt, cheese, and butter varieties.

Hart Dairy CEO Tim Connell said: “Kollaras and Co is a world-class organisation and partnering with them to offer our premium dairy products in the Asian market was an easy decision for us.

“Working with the Kollaras and Co team is a natural step for us to expand our ‘Grass 365’ dairy product offerings into Asia, and the recent high demand for our products gives us confidence in the long-term sustainable growth of Dairy Fresh New Zealand.”
