Interactive water bottle and app Gululu has partnered with health-focused gaming company Gamers Rock to launch Level Up H2O Fun Hydration programme, a new initiative in the US to help children and parents keep hydrated.

The initiative will leverage computer technology and motion sensor gaming to encourage children to meet the recommended daily water intake while participating in sports activities.

It combines a validated device for tracking water intake and a comprehensive rewards programme, which will act as an incentive to drink water and complete their assigned hydration goals.

Gululu co-founder Asi Meskin said: “We believe this partnership will make a positive impact for more children in the US and beyond.

“The joint project will raise awareness and support healthier lifestyles for children around the world.”

“Our founder Alvin Chiang, has been living with Type 2 diabetes since his 30s. His mission is to find new ways to help promote children’s health and wellbeing.

“In the near future, we will integrate artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to make our product more fun and interactive.

“We have also just launched Gululu Go a smaller, lighter and more portable bottle, to support the active lifestyle of the kids.”

The Level Up H2O Fun Hydration initiative will be implemented later this year in selected schools and after-school programmes. The partners intend to launch the programme in other countries, including Canada and Australia by next year.

Gamers Rock founder and Level Up H2O Fun Hydration executive director Jermaine Hargrove said: “We are delighted to enter this partnership with a global leader in the field of interactive hydration technology.

“The joint project will raise awareness and support healthier lifestyles for children around the world.”
