Global nutrition company Glanbia’s brand Optimum Nutrition (ON) is set to introduce its new Essential Amin.O. Energy Plus Electrolytes beverage to the convenience channel at the NACS Show this year in Las Vegas, Nevada, US.

Based on the original Essential Amin.O. Energy powdered mix, the new lightly carbonated ready-to-drink (RTD) product combines 100mg of naturally sourced caffeine with a 5g blend of amino acids.

The product is claimed to support muscle recovery by replacing electrolytes lost in sweat during exercise.

Glanbia’s immediate consumption national director Jean Terminiello said: “With zero sugar and availability in four fruit flavours, the convenient RTD version of Essential Amin.O. Energy Plus Electrolytes is sure to be a hit with active people looking for an anytime boost of energy and muscle support.”

Essential Amin.O. Energy Plus Electrolytes will be available in watermelon, strawberry burst, blueberry lemonade and grape variants, which will each contain between five and 15 calories per 12oz can.

The new beverage will be followed by the release of a new version of Glanbia’s brand ISOPURE’s protein drink Zero Carb, which will be available in three fruit flavours.

The new variant contains 20g of protein sourced from pure whey protein isolate. It also features zero carbs and zero sugar per 16oz bottle.

Both of the beverages are new additions to Glanbia’s convenience protein snack portfolio, which includes protein crisp bars, cake bites and protein almonds.

ON and ISOPURE products can be found in nutrition and convenience retailers throughout the US.
