Eire Born Spirits has announced the launch of Proper No Twelve Irish whiskey in the Canadian market.

With this latest launch in Canada, Eire Born Spirits Irish whiskey is now available in five countries, including the US, Ireland, Australia and the UK.

Eire Born Spirits founder and chairman Conor McGregor said: “I am proud to bring Proper No Twelve to Canada where many of my fans and friends live.

“Many thousands of Canadians have asked for Proper and we have now delivered our delicious blend of golden grain and single malt.  This is pure liquid gold aged four years in Bourbon barrels.”

In March, Eire Born Spirits launched Proper No Twelve Irish Whiskey in Australia, weeks after it was released in the UK.

Created with the support of master distiller David Elder, Proper No Twelve is an 80-proof whiskey offering a blend of golden grain and single malt, in addition to hints of vanilla, honey and toasted wood.

As part of the milling and mashing process, high-quality barley was germinated and air-dried before being turned into fine grist using a traditional roller mill. After this, the natural fermentation process produced a beverage with more than 8% alcohol.

The company noted that Proper No Twelve will initially be available in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan, as well as New Brunswick and Yukon Territory. It will later be offered in remaining provinces and territories.

McGregor further added: “Proper No Twelve is a Proper Irish Whiskey from a Proper Irish Man!  The name Proper No Twelve pays homage to where I was born and bred in the Dublin suburb of Crumlin; it is a proper whiskey and Twelve is where it began for me.”
