Eire Born Spirits has launched Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey in Australia weeks after it was released in the UK.

The whiskey was first launched in Ireland and the US in September last year.

Proper No. Twelve is an 80-proof whiskey offering a blend of golden grain and single malt in addition to hints of vanilla, honey and toasted wood. Bottled at 40% alcohol-by-volume (abv), the whiskey was created with the support of master distiller David Elder.

“Landing in Australia before St Paddy’s Day was my goal given the many thousands of requests we have had there since our Ireland, US and UK launches.”

Eire Born Spirits is owned by professional mixed martial artist and boxer Conor McGregor. He said: “Today marks another great achievement for Proper No. Twelve.  Landing in Australia before St Paddy’s Day was my goal given the many thousands of requests we have had there since our Ireland, US and UK launches.

“I appreciate the support from the people of Australia. This is a proper Irish whiskey from a proper Irishman made with Ireland’s best spring water, fine golden grain and single malt.  It is pure liquid gold.

“We created close to one hundred blends and ultimately selected what we knew was the one and only proper whiskey blend.

“We took the time to develop an incredible whiskey that is reasonably priced and I am excited to share it with the world.”

Eire Born Spirits has selected Proximo as a global distribution partner for its new Irish whiskey.
