US-based Eastside Distillery has added canning operations for ready-to-drink wine and cocktail products to the capabilities of its Portland distillery.

The company will now be able to offer canning services for a full range of ready-to-drink beverages.

Additionally, the craft spirits producer is planning to create new beverages, spritzers and premixed wine cocktails.

Over last two years, the sales of canned wines and cocktails have doubled as a result of new product launches that seek to appeal to the growing number of consumers with active lifestyles.

Eastside production vice-president Tom Wood said: “We see the industry moving in this direction in a big way. Canned wine and cocktails are the perfect away from home option for people with active lifestyles.”
