UK-based Distil has collaborated with soft drink, tonic and mixer brand producer Franklin & Sons to launch its ready-to-drink (RTD) RedLeg Spiced Rum and 1886 Cola in the market.

With 5% alcohol by volume (ABV), distribution of the products will take place across the UK market in 250ml can format.

RedLeg Spiced Rum is a blend containing ingredients such as vanilla and ginger, pairing with Franklin & Sons 1886 Cola and a twist of lime.

Franklin & Sons, owned by Global Brands, is a UK based independent drinks business, which develops a range of products across the premium spirits, tonics, mixers, soft drinks, RTDs and beer categories.

Its 1886 Cola beverage includes West African Kola Nut and Colombian coffee beans.

Distil executive chairman Don Goulding said: “This new in-market brand collaboration sees RedLeg Spiced Rum continue to innovate and introduce new consumers to the brand through flavour, packaging and format development.

“It provides consumers with a perfect RedLeg Spiced Rum and 1886 Cola on the go, without compromising on taste. Global Brands will handle distribution for this particular product; the remainder of our portfolio distribution is unchanged.”

Distil owns a wide range of drinks brands in various sectors of the alcoholic drinks market including spiced rum, vodka, gin and vodka vanilla cream liqueur.

The company’s product portfolio includes Blackwoods Vintage Gin, Blackwoods Vodka, Blavod Original Black Vodka, Diva Vodka and Jago’s Vanilla Cream Liqueur.
