Diageo has expanded its Scotch whisky brand with the launch of the new Johnnie Walker Black Label Triple Cask Edition.

Launched in partnership with travel retail company Dufry, this limited-edition whiskey will be available to airline passengers travelling through select duty-free stores worldwide.

Diageo’s Europe and Middle East global travel commercial director Roger Jackson said: “We’re delighted to release Johnnie Walker Black Label Triple Cask Edition as part of an exclusive partnership with Dufry stores.

“Shoppers are set to be inspired and excited by the in-store tasting opportunities and knowledgeable staff who will explore the creation of this brilliant new blend with whisky fans.”

“Shoppers are set to be inspired and excited by the in-store tasting opportunities and knowledgeable staff.”

The whiskey was created by a team led by Johnnie Walker’s master blender Jim Beveridge and blender Chris Clark. It features sweet vanilla, ginger, toffee and brown sugar aromas.

Crafted using three key Speyside malts from Blair Athol, Cardhu and Strathmill, the new expression has been matured in a combination of bourbon, Caribbean rum and Scotch whisky casks.

Dufry’s liquor, confectionery and tobacco global category director Eduardo Heusi Pereira said: “Johnnie Walker Black Label Triple Cask Edition is a marvellous addition to the portfolio of Johnnie Walker whiskies that are currently proudly stocked in our stores around the globe.

“We’re excited to activate a number of vibrant touchpoints both instore and online that will provide the opportunity for our shoppers to explore and get their hands on this lively new expression of Johnnie Walker Black Label.”

Johnnie Walker Black Label Triple Cask Edition is now available in more than 300 Dufry stores at a recommended price of £28 for a 1l bottle.
