Diageo has expanded its ready-to-drink (RTD) range with the launch of two bottled gin and tonics in the UK market.

Called Tanqueray Gin & Tonic and Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla & Tonic, the two variants will be available in 70cl glass bottles.

Diageo Reserve GB head Rich Larkin said: “With an exceptional recipe, unchanged since its introduction in 1830, Tanqueray London Dry Gin has an unmistakable taste and quality, and remains a firm favourite among consumers.

“We’re really excited to be launching two premium and quality led RTD innovations.”

“Alongside this, the interest in flavoured gins is also a trend which is continuing, and the introduction of Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla Gin and Tonic offers further differentiation for shoppers looking to experiment.

With 6.5% alcohol-by-volume (ABV), the RTD range will be available in Waitrose stores and online through Ocado and Amazon at a suggested retail price (SRP) of £3.00 ($3.80) per 27.5cl bottles or £10 for four pack of 27.5cl bottles.

Larkin further added: “We’re really excited to be launching two premium and quality led RTD innovations so that customers can enjoy a perfect Tanqueray serve every time.

“As we step into the summer season, we’re confident that the Tanqueray and Tonic premixes will be the perfect addition to shopping baskets for occasions across the off-trade, including at home, picnics, barbecues, garden parties and festivals.”

Last month, Diageo expanded its gin portfolio with the launch of Italian gin Villa Ascenti.

The company claimed that its new gin variant has been produced using ingredients sourced from Piemonte. It is available in 14 European countries.
