International Spirits and Beverage Group (ISBG) and Canbiola have signed a letter of intent (LoI) to jointly produce cannabidiol (CBD) infused beverages and other cannabidiol-based products.

Canbiola will supply hemp-extracted CBD for ISBG’s alcoholic and non-alcoholic CBD-infused beverages.

The ingredient will also be included in CBD Chews in the North American segment.

ISBG is a producer and marketer of global wine and spirit brands, while Canbiola sells premium CBD-based products. Both the companies are based in the US.

Carlsberg has selected FPT to be its technology partner.

Based in Vietnam, FPT is an information technology (IT) services provider, while Carlsberg is a brewery group with a wide range of beer and beverage brands.

As its partner, FPT will offer IT and digital transformation (DT) services to Carlsberg. The two firms will also investigate additional areas where DT could be implemented, including smart brewery solutions, Cloud migration to Azure, and the development of an open active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) platform.

Gululu has joined Gamers Rock to launch Level Up H2O Fun Hydration, a programme aimed to help children and parents in the US maintain hydration levels.

The programme will use the latest computer technology and motion sensor gaming to help children meet recommended levels of daily water intake when participating in sports activities.

It will encourage children to meet their assigned hydration goals by combining a validated device with comprehensive rewards programme.

The execution of the Level Up H2O Fun Hydration initiative will take place in select schools and after-school programmes. It will also be launched in other countries such as Canada and Australia in 2019.

Coca-Cola has completed an acquisition of Organic & Raw Trading.

Organic & Raw Trading produces naturally fermented, live culture, organic kombucha products under the MOJO brand.

Prepared from naturally fermented tea, MOJO Kombucha is sold throughout Australia. The branded drinks are sold in 4,000 local health food outlets, organic markets and organic cafés, as well as restaurants and supermarkets such as Aldi, Costco, Foodland, IGA and Woolworths.

The addition of MOJO kombucha will complement the increasing popularity of organic probiotic drinks.

Drew Stapp and Andrew Nelson have completed an acquisition of Lapis Luna.

Established in 1999, Lapis Luna is a producer of wines based in the US.
