Dunn’s River Brands (DRB) has joined Big Geyser to distribute DRB’s Sweet Leaf Tea in New York.

DRB is a holding company with a portfolio of beverage brands, while Big Geyser is a distributor of non-alcoholic drinks and snacks.

Acquired by DRB from Nestlé Waters North America in late-2017, Sweet Leaf Tea is an organic tea brand.

The products will be available across five boroughs of New York City, as well as Westchester, Putnam, Nassau and Suffolk counties.

AB InBev has stated a preference for Accenture’s NewsPage distributor management system (DMS) for handling its sales and distribution operations in Africa.

Based in Belgium, AB InBev is a multinational drink and brewing holdings firm, while Accenture is a global management consulting and service company.

A DMS system has already been operational with AB InBev’s locations in Tanzania and Uganda. The latest transaction enables the company to improve its product stock and sales visibility, while tracking its distributor network.

The data generated by the new DMS will allow the sales teams of AB InBev to form relationships with distributors and customers, as well as track product promotions and performance.

Kona Gold Solutions has entered a distribution agreement with Liquid Culture Enterprises (LCE).

Under the agreement, LCE will distribute Kona Gold Solutions’ hemp-based energy drinks and cannabidiol (CBD) based energy waters in South Carolina, US.

Kona Gold Solutions will begin the production of 12oz energy drinks in classic and sugar-free flavours, as well as a new platinum flavour. It will also add new flavours currently under development.

Guarachi Wine Partners has completed an acquisition of Parker Station from Fess Parker Winery.

Founded in 1985, Guarachi Wine Partners is a privately-owned global importer, marketer and innovator of fine wines.

Guarachi Wine Partners will leverage its experienced sales team and national distribution network to support the brand.

Fess Parker Winery will continue to produce the wine for five years.

The transaction enables Guarachi Wine Partners to improve brand awareness and volume.

Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE) has agreed to acquire JOBmeal from Valedo Partners Fund II.

Based in Netherlands, JDE is a privately-owned firm that owns several beverage brands, while JOBmeal is a Swedish home coffee business offering office coffee solutions to customers in Sweden and Finland.

The transaction enables JOBmeal’s customers to access a range of coffee and tea solutions, including Gevalia, Piazza D’Oro, L’Or, and Pickwick brands. It will also allow JDE to create growth opportunities in Finland.

Lakeland Dairies has entered an agreement to merge with with LacPatrick Dairies.

The new entity will support 3,200 milk suppliers for a collective milk pool of approximately 1.8 billion litres.

The new co-operative is expected to generate a combined turnover of €1bn ($1.15bn) a year.

The merger intends to ensure a competitive milk price for dairy farmers located in the northern and southern regions of the country.

Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in Ireland.

Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) and The Coca-Cola Company have completed an acquisition of a 45% stake in Made Group.

The Coca-Cola Company Australia and CCA will support Made Group to grow market reach and distribution. The group will continue to operate as an independent unit.

The transaction is aimed at fortifying Coca-Cola’s performance in growth categories and exploring merger and acquisition opportunities.
