DKSH has acquired Davies Foods’ beverage business in New Zealand.

Based in Switzerland, DKSH provides market expansion services. Davies Foods’ beverage range includes energy drinks, soft drinks and water.

DKSH has gained trademark rights for the beverages and will expand product coverage through its distribution network. It will also promote sales, and market and distribute the products in supermarkets.

Califia Farms has raised $50m through a second round of funding led by Ambrosia Investments and existing investors Sun Pacific and Stripes Group.

The firm intends to use the funds to expand its manufacturing facility in Bakersfield, California, and promote its new line of probiotic dairy-free yoghurt drinks.

Califia Farms also plans to improve its go-to-market capabilities for commercialising plant-based milk, non-dairy creamers and cold brew coffees.

Atos has received a multinational contract to offer Internet of Things (IoT) services for the Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (Coca-Cola HBC) Connected Cooler programme.

The solution will allow Coca-Cola HBC to access point-of-sale data, which includes in-store cooler placement, temperatures, stock-levels, product placement, customer behaviour and trends.

Coca-Cola HBC will initially deploy the Atos Codex Connected Cooler solution in 300,000 coolers.  The programme will ensure the collection and management of data from Coca-Cola Hellenic’s connected coolers in 28 countries.

Royal Unibrew has agreed to acquire Bev.Con for kr350m ($54.33m).

Royal Unibrew is a provider of beverages including beer, malt beverages and soft drinks, while Bev.Con owns trademarks such as CULT Energy, SHAKER and MOKAI.

The acquisition enables Royal Unibrew to support its Horeca business in the ready-to-drink (RTD), cider and energy drinks categories.

KIMLY has completed an acquisition of Asian Story Corporation (ASC) for S$16m ($11.69m).

KIMLY is a coffee shop chain operator based in Singapore, while ASC sells drinks such as chrysanthemum tea, winter melon tea and lemon barley under the Asian Story brand.

The transaction supports KIMLY’s business expansions through acquisitions, joint ventures (JV), strategic alliances, and vertical acquisitions of food manufacturers.

Coca-Cola Femsa has completed an acquisition of Montevideo Refrescos (Monresa) for $250.7m.

Based in Mexico, Coca-Cola Femsa a Coca-Cola bottler, while Monresa is a manufacturer and distributor of Coca-Cola’s trademark beverages in Uruguay.

The acquisition enables Femsa to expand its presence across 11 countries and also expand its footprint to Philippines, Mexico and South and Central America.
