Australian Whisky Holdings intends to raise A$11.94m ($8.59m) through a private placement of 291 million ordinary shares priced at A$0.041 ($0.02) a share.

Australian Whisky manufactures single malt whisky.

The transaction also involves an investment of A$5m ($3.59m) by Ace Cosmo Developments.

Constellation Brands has made a C$5bn ($4bn) investment in Canopy Growth.

Based in the US, Constellation Brands is an alcohol beverage company, while Canopy Growth is a cannabis firm based in Canada.

Canopy Growth intends to use the funds to expand to more than 30 countries that are involved in federally-approved medical cannabis programmes, as well as to establish a platform for supplying new recreational adult-use markets.

Hayleys has established a joint venture (JV) partnership with Martin Bauer Group (MBG).

As part of the transaction, MBG has invested in Hayleys’ tea extracts manufacturer Hayley Global Beverages (HGBL).

Founded in 2016, HGBL is a producer of powdered and concentrated ceylon tea extracts, while Hayleys is a conglomerate based in Sri Lanka.

The collaboration will enable HGBL to meet the increasing demand for tea extract products globally.

Heineken has signed agreements with China Resources Enterprise (CRE) and China Resources Beer (CR Beer) to form a long-term strategic partnership.

The collaboration will enable Heineken to acquire a 40% minority stake and become a partner in holding company CRH (Beer) (CBL).

Heineken’s China operations and CR Beer’s operations will be integrated, while the Heineken brand in China will be licenced to CR Beer on a long-term basis.

Heineken will also become an exclusive partner of CRE for international premium lager beers in China.

Puration has completed an acquisition of Telluride Health Company.

Based in the US, Puration is a producer of cannabidiol (CBD) infused beverages, while Telluride Health manufactures Telluride Happy Water, which is produced by a patented technology formula that reduces the size of water molecules.

The transaction enables Puration to expand its presence in cannabis edibles sector.

China Resources Snow Breweries has agreed to acquire a number of target companies from Heineken China for HK$2.35bn ($300.57m).

The companies in the deal include Heineken Management Services (China), Heineken (Shanghai), Heineken Brewery (Guangzhou), and Heineken Brewery (Hainan).

China Resources Snow Breweries is a producer and seller of beer under the brand name Snow Beer, while Heineken is a leading brewing company in the Netherlands.
