Cott, a distributor of bottled and canned carbonated beverages, has announced its wholly-owned subsidiary DS Services of America acquired all the assets of Roaring Spring Water.

Financial details of the deal are yet to be disclosed by either company.

DS Services president Dave Muscato said: “Roaring Spring Water shares our focus on offering high-quality products and delivering superior customer service and strengthens our footprint and customer density in the region.

“We are excited to welcome the Roaring Spring Water customers and associates to the Crystal Springs family.”

Since 1981, Roaring Spring Water has been offering water delivery services to homes and offices in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.

With the acquisition of Roaring Spring Water, DS Services expects to expand its presence in the region.

It estimates an addition of nearly 7,500 customers to its customer base through the acquisition.

The deal will also benefit Roaring Spring Water as it will be part of an extended network of DS Services and can access its product portfolios, such as coffee and tea, sparkling water beverages and premium water products.

Roaring Spring Water owner Dan Hoover said: “DS Services has a strong commitment to service and will continue to use the spring water from Roaring Spring, so they were a natural fit when deciding to sell the business.”

Earlier this month, Cott’s wholly-owned subsidiary Eden Springs acquired the Watercooler Gigant business of Leylines for an undisclosed sum.

Watercooler Gigant is a Dutch e-commerce platform, which distributes bottled water coolers and filtration solutions to commercial and residential markets.

Eden Springs offers workplace drinks solutions that include integrated water and coffee service solutions to more than 800,000 customers across 18 countries.
