Alcoholic beverages producer Constellation Brands has acquired a minority stake in PRESS Premium Alcohol Seltzer (PRESS).

Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, PRESS was co-founded in 2015 by Amy Walberg and Jim Sorenson and is engaged in the production of beverages with only 4% alcohol by volume (ABV).

The company notes that its drinks are suitable for consumers who prefer lower ABV drinks.

Its beverage portfolio includes premium flavours such as Blackberry Hibiscus, Pomegranate Ginger, Lime Lemongrass and Grapefruit Cardamom.

Constellation Brands Ventures’ Focus on Female Founders programme invested.

The programme focuses on female-established, as well as female-led businesses across alcoholic beverage sector and adjacent categories.

Constellation Brands noted that PRESS is an independent, women-led and co-owned brand, whose products are created using natural ingredients.

It adds that Walberg will continue in her role as the CEO of the company and principal decision-maker for PRESS.

Furthermore, Last August, Constellation Brands made a minority investment in North Carolina-based Durham Distillery.

Established in 2013 by Melissa and Lee Katrincic, Durham Distillery produces craft gin, vodka, liqueur and ready-to-drink canned cocktail products.

Durham Distillery offers a wide range of alcoholic beverages including Conniption Navy Strength Gin and Conniption American Dry Gin and Damn Fine Liqueurs (Chocolate, Mocha and Coffee), as well as Cold Distilled Cucumber Vodka and ready-to-drink canned cocktails.
