Tempus Fugit Spirits has launched the new Crème de Banane, a banana-flavoured liqueur imported by Hotaling & Co.

Previously known as Anchor Distilling Company, Hotaling & Co is an importer and distiller of fine spirits that is headquartered in San Francisco.

Tempus Fugit’s Crème de Banane is a versatile spirit and cocktail modifier that is based on a traditional recipe dated to the 19th Century. It delivers a ripe caramelised banana flavour and aromas of complex banana liqueurs.

The drink is released in small batches and distilled to extract the flavour. It is said to complement classic cocktails requiring an authentic-style crème de banane such as the Tiki cocktail.

The product’s golden amber hue is achieved using natural colourants extracted from mature bananas.

With 26% alcohol by volume (ABV), Crème de Banane is said to be free from extracts, flavourings and artificial colourings.

The Tempus Fugit’s Crème de Banane 750ml bottle is available for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $41.99.

Hotaling & Co has a large portfolio of imported craft spirits, totalling more than 300 drinks from 23 countries.

Tempus Fugit first entered the spirits business by producing absinthe in small batches. In 2006 the company expanded its line to include other cocktail modifiers such as crèmes, bitters and liqueurs.

Tempus Fugit aims to source and re-create rare spirits and liqueurs. Its products are claimed to be made with natural ingredients and extensively researched for historical accuracy.
