Phivida has announced that its Oki line of active hemp extract beverages will be sold in more than 100 Safeway stores across Colorado, US.

The collection features iced teas and waters that are infused with 20mg of hemp extract per 16oz bottle. Each beverage is available in four different flavours.

Claimed to contain natural and organic ingredients, all of Phivida’s products are plant-based and vegan-friendly, as well as packaged in recyclable glass containers.

Phivida president and CEO Jim Bailey said: “We are extremely excited to be associated with the Safeway brand and appreciate their confidence in us and their desire to align with a trusted brand and product such as Oki.

“We are focused on in-store activations, targeted consumer sampling and a 360° communications approach utilising social, traditional media and working closely with our PR firm to gain earned media.”

Safeway will sell all eight flavours of Oki in Colorado starting April this year. The initial product shipment includes around 2,500 cases or 30,000 units.

Additional retail distribution is expected to launch in around 900 other outlets in Q2 2019.

Phivida is currently selling the Oki line of beverages in the US.
