Coca-Cola India has expanded its Minute Maid portfolio with the addition of a new smoothie product containing fruit, milk and nutrients.

Called the Minute Maid Smoothie, the new offering is available in mango and banana flavours and will be retailed for Rs30 ($0.42) for a 250ml bottle.

With the launch, the company is making a commitment towards the Fruit Circular Economy initiative, providing an array of healthy and nutritious beverage choices to its Indian consumers.

Coca-Cola’s India and South West Asia vice-president Vijay Parasuraman said: “Minute Maid Smoothie is an ideal choice for mothers looking for a snack that is tasty, filling and nutritious. We specifically developed this product after listening to mothers and understanding their needs.

“Minute Maid Smoothie is an ideal choice for mothers looking for a snack that is tasty.”

“Children are picky eaters and are always looking for something tasty, mothers often find it tough to balance between nutrition and taste.

“Minute Maid Smoothie contains real mango juice that gives it a great taste kids love; pureed banana, which makes it filling; the goodness of whole milk that mothers trust; and topped up with nutrients such as Vitamin B3, B6, Vitamin E, Zinc and Calcium that play a key role in metabolism and building strength and stamina.”

The product will initially be available in South Indian states, including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It will be released to other parts of the country at a later stage.

Coca-Cola India plans to expand its smoothie range by introducing other popular flavours.
