Clear Creek Distillery has expanded its vodka portfolio with the first new product for nearly a decade.

Called Clear Creek Vodka, the beverage is a 100% fruit-based variant that has been fermented and distilled from apples grown in the Pacific Northwest. This 80-proof vodka is made using spring water sourced from Mt. Hood in Oregon, US.

Clear Creek Distillery development and marketing manager Jeanine Racht said: “The addition of Clear Creek Vodka to our portfolio falls in line with our philosophy of supporting local agriculture and approaching the distilling landscape as evolution and not revolution.

“Consumers are increasingly concerned about where their drinks come from and not just their food. We use 14 different varietals of non-GMO apples grown in Hood River and Yakima Valley orchards to create a vodka with a sense of place.

“Nearly 35 years after Clear Creek Distillery first opened its doors, we’ve made our first vodka; one worthy of the Clear Creek name.”

Clear Creek Vodka will initially be available in Oregon for a suggestive retail price (SRP) of $29.95 for a 750ml bottle.

The company plans to expand to other markets during the summer, as well as introduce a 50ml bottle later this year.

Clear Creek Distillery is reported to be one of the oldest craft distilleries in the US. The company was established in 1985 with an objective to create spirits using fruits grown in the Pacific Northwest.

Hood River Distillers acquired Clear Creek Distillery in 2014.
