Pernod Ricard’s Chivas Regal has launched a new 15-year-old Scotch whiskey, Chivas XV.

Chivas XV has been selectively finished in Grande Champagne Cognac casks for a minimum of 15 years. These casks are said to deliver a rich and velvety texture to the traditional Chivas house style.

It is claimed to provide a taste profile that is suitable for a range of contemporary serving styles.

Chivas Regal global marketing director Richard Black said: “We know that Scotch whisky fans love Chivas’ generous house style but are also looking to experiment with new tastes and find new ways in which to enjoy their favourite spirit.

“Chivas XV has been selectively finished in Grande Champagne Cognac casks for a minimum of 15 years.”

“Enter Chivas XV, the perfect expression for those who want to celebrate life with a truly luxurious and unique spirit that has been designed specifically with the energy of the consumption occasion in mind.

“Chivas XV presents a more contemporary side to Scotch, and encourages whisky drinkers to create memorable experiences that live on long after the celebration.”

Chivas XV’s bottle reflects the iconic shape of the Chivas whiskey brand. It is available in clear or gold-tinted glass.

The new addition is available exclusively in Global Travel Retail for $69 for 1l, with plans to release worldwide from 1 October this year.

Last month, the Chivas Brothers announced the start of construction work on its £50m bottling hall at Kilmalid, Dumbarton.
