Chicken Cock Whiskey, a brand of US-based craft spirits company Grain & Barrel Spirits, has expanded its bourbon portfolio with the launch of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Part of the Chicken Cock line, the new bourbon expression has been distilled, aged and bottled in Kentucky.

With 45% alcohol by volume (ABV), Chicken Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey offers sweet notes of dried fruit, caramel and vanilla, with palate-soft tannins and a vanilla finish.

Customers can purchase the new bourbon expression for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $59.99 per 750ml bottle.

In addition to the Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, the brand will also release the limited editions of Chicken Cock 160th Anniversary (8 year old (Yo)), Chicken Cock Double Barrel Bourbon (10Yo) and the Chicken Cock Beer Barrel Select, a blend of Kentucky Bourbons aged up to 11.5 years finished in Walnut Brown Ale barrels.

Established in 2012, Grain & Barrel Spirits has production and sales partners across the globe.

Besides Chicken Cock Whiskey, the company has brands such as Dixie Southern Vodka and The Endless Summer Spirits Company.

Last September, Grain & Barrel Spirits joined US-based Bardstown Bourbon Company’s (BBCo) collaborative distilling programme.

Grain & Barrel will work with BBCo to produce custom bourbon and whiskey products for the Chicken Cock brand.

Through the distilling programme, Grain & Barrel’s master distiller Gregg Snyder will work with Steve Nally and BBCo’s distilling team under the leadership of John Hargrove, the executive director of distilling operations.
