Chick-fil-A is set to introduce its Frosted Key Lime at restaurants across the US.

Available from 18 March, the new beverage combines three lime varieties, vanilla ice cream, lemonade and lime flavouring.

Chick-fil-A menu and packaging team menu lead Leslie Neslage said: “Since launching Frosted Lemonade in 2015, customers have shared their excitement about our frosted options, like our Frosted Coffee and Frosted Sunrise, so we are delighted to launch another seasonal, frosted treat this spring.

“Frosted Key Lime is both tart and sweet and will be a delicious, lower-calorie treat that all customers can enjoy throughout the day.”

Chick-fil-A initially tested Frosted Key Lime in Austin, Texas. The company decided to launch the snack across the country based on positive customer feedback.

Frosted Key Lime is claimed to be lighter than a milkshake and contains superfoods such as spirulina and turmeric. It is available in a small 16oz serving with prices starting at $3.25.

Diet Frosted Key Lime has 280 calories, while the regular Frosted Key Lime has 350. They will be available for a limited period.

Last year, Chick-fil-A reported more than $10bn in revenue. The chain already offers Frosted Lemonade, Frosted Coffee and Frosted Sunrise.
