Bottling firm Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) has expanded Monster Energy drink portfolio with the addition of two new variants, Monster Pacific Punch and Monster Ultra Paradise.

The company notes that the two variants have been developed by drawing inspiration from tropical flavours.

CCEP GB Commercial Development vice-president Simon Harrison said: “The energy sector has grown by £99m over the last two years and Monster has been a key driver of this, adding £68m of value to the sector thanks to a growing core range, innovative new flavours and impactful marketing campaigns.”

Featuring hints of kiwi, lime and cucumber with no calories and no sugar, Monster Ultra Paradise is said to offer a light and refreshing flavour to its consumers.

Produced using real fruit juice, Monster Pacific Punch offers a combination of exotic flavours inspired by traditional tropical punch and Monster’s caffeine kick.

The drink will join the company’s existing range that includes Monster Mango Loco and Monster Pipeline Punch.

The two beverage variants come in a can featuring artwork reflecting tropical flavours inside.

Monster Energy Ultra Paradise packaging features brand’s green colour with an idyllic island landscape and Monster Pacific Punch can sports tattoo designs, mermaids and pirate ships.

Both variants are available in the UK market, and consumers can purchase Monster Ultra Paradise for £1.29 and Monster Pacific Punch for £1.39.

Harrison added: “Monster Ultra Paradise taps into the ‘Energy Up, Calories Down’ category driver and Monster Pacific Punch responds to the ‘Refreshing Kicks’ category driver identified in our extensive Energy Vision, both of which will help retailers grow their energy drinks sales.

“We will continue to invest in the brand throughout 2020 helping our customers to engage shoppers with our marketing plans and by providing choice to consumers with both regular and zero sugar options.”
