The Carlsberg Group’s speciality beer brand Brewery Jacobsen is launching Yakima IPA in bottles in the market.

Jacobsen’s Yakima IPA is a draft beer, which was launched in March last year in Danish bars and restaurants. The company claims it is the third most sold variant of Brewery Jacobsen accounting for 11% of the brand’s beer volume in 2017.

Jacobsen brand manager Frederic Viking said: “Yakima IPA’s success in Danish bars and restaurants is the reason we have decided to launch the beer in bottles. Now everybody can taste the hoppy variant – both when out and when at home.”

Jacobsen’s ‘Brewer’s Tap’ is a concept where an assortment of beers are offered to select customers for tasting before they are launched into the market.

Viking said: “The Brewer’s Tap really allows us to test new ideas and different taste variants. We get speedy constructive feedback from both customers and consumers, and that’s exactly what happened with Yakima IPA.”

With a tropical fruit aroma profile, Jacobsen Yakima IPA is brewed using a selection of hop varieties, which are sourced from Yakima Valley in Washington State, US.

The company explained that the new Yakima IPA is the hoppiest beer offered by Brewery Jacobsen.

Viking said: “Yakima IPA has a fantastic aroma profile with an almost tropical fruit twist and fits perfectly with the spirit of time. We expect there to be a big unused potential for Jacobsen with those people who really appreciate hops’ exotic aroma.”
