Beam Suntory’s whisky brand Canadian Club has expanded its CC Chronicles/MC premium series with the launch of second release Canadian Club 42 Year Old in the US.

The new expression has been batched and barrelled for more than four decades. Canadian Club 42 Year Old offers a taste of rye spice, notes of brown sugar and baking spices.

Canadian Club global whisky ambassador Tish Harcus said: “At Canadian Club, we pride ourselves on our commitment to consistently crafting superior Canadian whisky.

“For more than 150 years, we have consistently delivered quality expressions to whisky drinkers, and the release of Canadian Club 42 Year Old continues this tradition.

“Following the success of our first CC Chronicles release last year, we are excited to unveil another premium, distinctive whisky that endures the test of time.”

Canadian Club 41 Year Old was the first in the series as part of celebrating the Water of Windsor.

The new addition in the Chronicles series is also called Issue No. 2: The Dock Man. It celebrates the dockworker of past years who delivered quality whisky to bar owners during the Prohibition era.

Canadian Club 42 Year Old is a limited edition variant with 45% alcohol by volume (ABV) and will be available across the US for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $299.95 for a 750ml bottle.

The Canadian Club distillery was opened in 1858. For more than 150 years, Canadian Club has been known for producing a smooth and versatile whisky.
