Anheuser-Busch (AB) InBev’s beer brand Budweiser has expanded its Reserve Collection with the launch of Budweiser Freedom Reserve Red Lager.

Brewed by Budweiser, Freedom Reserve Red Lager is the second addition to the brewer’s Reserve Collection.

The company will continue to support American veterans by offering a portion of proceeds from its Freedom Reserve Red Lager sold this summer to Folds of Honour, a non-profit organisation providing educational scholarships to military families.

Folds of Honour founder and CEO Major Dan Rooney said: “To call Budweiser a partner would be an understatement – they are considered family to us and the 3,000 families their donations help to support.

“Freedom Reserve is a great testament to their unwavering dedication and compassion for our armed forces and we salute them.”

The Red Lager has been brewed with toasted barley grains for a slightly sweet aroma with a rich caramel malt taste and a smooth finish with a hint of molasses.

The new lager will be available in a vintage stubby bottle, as well as in a one-pint can.

Budweiser vice-president Ricardo Marques said: “We are incredibly proud of our Freedom Reserve Red Lager because it was passionately brewed by our veteran brewers who have bravely served our country.

“With Freedom Reserve, we remain dedicated to our mission to support our veterans and their families through our longstanding partnership with Folds of Honour.”
