US-based packaged-water company Boxed Water Is Better (Boxed Water) has expanded its product portfolio by launching four new flavours in the US market.

With its new lineup, the company aims to address the urgent need for sustainable, single-use options as pandemic-related plastic use surges.

The company will launch lemon, blackberry, cucumber, and grapefruit flavours in the first quarter of next year.

Boxed Water CMO Robert Koenen said: “Consumers who support our mission and love our design have passionately called for more flavours almost since our inception, and we are listening.

“Our flavour launch comes at an exciting time – when consumers are looking for healthy, tasty, and eco-friendly options to kick off 2021 and support a better planet. While everyone is talking about the ‘new normal’ we are working towards a ’re-newed normal’.”

The company said that its Lemon beverage variant offers a light hint of lemon, while the Blackberry beverage comes with a natural brightness for a change of pace.

On the other hand, Boxed Water’s Cucumber variant offers a spa-influenced refreshing taste, and Grapefruit is an energising beverage variant.

The company said that all its variants are purified through an eight-step purification process and ultraviolet (UV)-treated, and every carton offers a crisp and fresh taste.

Boxed Water said that the new flavours are packed in a 92% plant-based carton’s, featuring vibrant pops of colours with fruit-inspired designs.

Koenen added: “Like everything we do at Boxed Water, our core goal with the flavour launch is to support our planet and make sustainability a convenient and accessible choice. As we add more sustainable options on the market, this launch takes us one step closer.”

The lemon, blackberry, cucumber, and grapefruit variants will be available in the standard 500ml size and can be purchased online and at the select retailers.
