Swiss juice company Biotta has expanded its functional juice line-up with the addition of Golden Beet Juice Blend and Heirloom Purple Carrot Juice.

The two functional juice products are claimed to contain natural vegetable and fruit juice and do not contain genetically modified organism (GMO) ingredients. In addition, they are said to be project verified, offering a combination of flavours and health benefits.

Biotta Organic Golden Beet Juice Blend is a combination of beet juice, apple juice, orange juice, lemon juice, turmeric and black pepper.

The turmeric and beet are claimed to provide anti-inflammatory properties and help digestion, while the black pepper is said to help improve the absorption rates of the turmeric.

“The turmeric and beet are claimed to provide anti-inflammatory properties and help digestion.”

Heirloom Purple Carrot Juice offers a distinctive colour and taste. The carrots are said to provide high amounts of anthocyanins, which support the immune system and provide anti-inflammatory benefits.

The juices are available at grocery stores and on Amazon.com in 500ml bottles.

In 1957, Biotta started production of organic juices with locally grown and field-ripened produce at its original production location on Lake Constance in northern Switzerland. It utilised processing methods such as low-heat pasteurisation.

There are currently 12 varieties of functional juices offered by the Swiss company in the US, which are verified as organic and non-GMO by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Biotta juices are available in both natural and mainstream grocers throughout the US, as well as online.
