US-based independent blender and bottler Barrell Craft Spirits (BCS) has expanded its offerings with the launch of a new ultra-premium whiskey expression BCS Bourbon.

Released as part of Barrell Craft Spirits Line, the new limited-edition expression is a blend of straight bourbon whiskeys, aged for a minimum of 15 years.

Barrell Craft Spirits founder Joe Beatrice said: “We’re thrilled to introduce the third release of Bourbon within the Barrell Craft Spirits line.

“For this annual release, we identified and blended some exceptional barrels to taste that are defined by absolute balance and deep flavour layering.”

With 52.45% alcohol by volume, the new Bourbon whiskey expression was distilled in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee, and crafted and bottled in Kentucky at peak maturity.

The company added the new release offers tart fruits, woodsy spices and nutty notes.

The addition of water brings out creaminess to offer a lush and tropical experience at the nose.

The Bourbon will be rolled out across select retail outlets across 45 US markets from this month, and available for purchase through the company’s website for the suggested retail price (SRP) of $250 per 750ml bottle.

The company added that it will release only 12,000 BCS Bourbon bottles.

Earlier this month, BCS launched new whiskey expression called Barrell Armida.

The company claims that its expression is a combination of three straight bourbon whiskeys finished separately in Pear Brandy, Jamaican Rum, and Sicilian Amaro casks.
