US-based brewing company Anheuser-Busch (AB) is set to introduce new light lager brand Wild Peak.

With 3.5% alcohol-by-volume (ABV), the new beverage will be brewed at AB’s brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado, US.

Last week, the brewer secured federal approval for the beer’s labels, which describes the beverage as an extra smooth golden lager carrying the tagline, ‘Brewed in the Colorado Rockies.’

“The lager will contain 93 calories and 5.3g of carbohydrates per 12oz can.”

As per the label filings with the federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, the lager will contain 93 calories and 5.3g of carbohydrates per 12oz can.

It is not clear when the company will release its new beer brand in the US market or how it will be priced.

The launch will follow AB’s new 4.2% ABV economy beer brand called Lucky Streak. According to Beer Business Daily, this low-priced lager will be sold for one year starting 1 October 2018 in Pennsylvania at $10.80 for a 30-can pack.

Recently, AB filed for a number of new markings, including ‘B’ for malt-based alcoholic beverages, excluding beers, honey wine and mead. According to its label, 1% of net proceeds will be donated by Wild Peak to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
