AG Barr has launched its Italian soft drinks brand San Benedetto in the UK market.

The company claims that its new drink contains 86 calories per can.

AG Barr marketing director Adrian Troy said: “Soft drinks shoppers are looking for premium, exciting and indulgent products that deliver on taste, and this trend has helped drive 15% growth in high-fruit adult carbonates.

“However many of these products are high in sugar at a time when consumers are looking to reduce their sugar intake.

“Soft drinks shoppers are looking for premium, exciting and indulgent products.”

“San Benedetto contains 12% juice and is made with the first squeeze of the fruit which ensures only the highest quality juice is used, delivering a completely unforgettable taste.”

AG Barr will be releasing the new products from February this year. The beverage will be available in Limone (Lemon) and Clementina (Orange) flavours.

Established in 1875, AG Barr offers a wide range of soft drinks brands, which include Tizer, D’N’B, KA, Barr flavour range, Barr’s Originals, Strathmore spring water, St Clements juice drinks, Simply juice drinks, Sun exotic and Rubicon exotic juice drinks.
