US-based STōK has expanded its range of cold brew beverages by launching two products, Protein coffee and Yerba Mate tea.

The Protein cold brew coffee contains 16g of protein per serving, which STōK claims to be equivalent to ‘two large eggs and a slice of bacon’, and is a good source of calcium.

The product is brewed for ten hours before a shot of expresso is added.

The Yerba Mate is the brand’s first cold brew tea product. It contains 75% more caffeine than and less than half the sugar of other ready-to-drink ice teas.

It will initially be available in two flavours, Slightly Sweet and Peach.

“At STōK, we are obsessed with great coffee. But we are thrilled to expand beyond coffee to tea.”

STōK marketing director Lindsey Morgan said: “At STōK, we are obsessed with great coffee. But we are thrilled to expand beyond coffee to tea with a delicious, not-too-sweet Yerba Mate Tea that delivers that great tasting caffeine boost our consumers have come to know and love.”

Other products in STōK’s cold brew beverage range include Vanilla Not Too Sweet coffee, Black Chocolate coffee, and Mocha Not Too Sweet coffee.

The products are available in either 48oz or 13.7oz bottles. However, the Protein and Yerbe Mate products are both only available in the larger size.

The two new product lines are currently available in retailers across the US.

STōK is owned by DanoneWave, the combined entity of WhiteWave Foods and Danone’s dairy business that focuses on offering dairy and plant-based foods in high growth and evolving categories.
