US-based technology company Smart Cups has launched a line of energy drinks packaged in a 3D-polycapsule printed delivery system.

The self-stirring system transforms microencapsulated ingredients into an energy drink with the addition of water.

The beverage line up will feature Tropical Recess, Nerdy Lemon-T, Pucker Up Brain Boost, and Magna Cum Latte, which contains zero calories with no added sugar.

The new packaging is biodegradable and can be easily transported, stored, and disposed.

” Smart Cups provides a more convenient, hassle-free, and eco-friendly beverage experience for consumers.”

Smart Cups founder and CEO Chris Kanik said: “This delivery system is a scientific breakthrough that the food and beverage industry has never seen before. Putting the power of science into a cup, Smart Cups provides a more convenient, hassle-free, and eco-friendly beverage experience for consumers.

“We’ve developed a game-changing delivery method that consumers will be able to experience through our initial line of energy drinks.

“This delivery system print technology will become the new standard for a variety of industries including pharmaceutical, beverage, water purification, and beyond.”
The new technology was developed in partnership with The Additive Advantage CEO Sal Celeste.

The Additive Advantage technology integrates micro-capsules present in the cup directly onto the surface of a substrate, which is released upon contact with a liquid solvent.

Smart Cups’ energy drinks are currently available for purchase through the company’s website for $11.99 for a pack of five and $17.99 for a pack of ten.
