Coffee company Starbucks has launched its first single-origin Reserve coffee from India, called Starbucks Reserve India Tata Nullore Estate, in the US.

Starbucks collected its first single-origin Reserve coffee at The Nullore Estate in India.

The estate is owned by Tata Coffee and is claimed to be one of the largest arabica plantations in the Coorg coffee growing region of the southern part of India.

"This coffee is the perfect complement to our existing line-up of Starbucks Reserve coffees."

Starbucks Reserve India Tata Nullore Estate is a limited edition launch.

The product is available at Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room in Seattle, Washington, US. It is also available in select Starbucks stores throughout the US.

The cultivation of Starbucks Reserve India Tata Nullore Estate has taken several months. It was isolated from the regular estate coffees, handpicked and sun-dried before roasting.

Starbucks Global Coffee Quality vice-president Andrew Linnemann said: “This coffee is the perfect complement to our existing line-up of Starbucks Reserve coffees.

“It’s a sublime coffee with sweetness, chocolatey notes and a creamy mouthfeel with the perfect balance of flavor and character.”

Starbucks Reserve coffees are a range of small batch coffees sourced from small coffee-growing regions in Latin America, Africa and Asia Pacific. These coffees are then roasted at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room.

Linnemann added: “Our Starbucks Reserve coffee programme is all about firsts. It’s about connecting people with coffees they’ve heard about but never had a chance to try or exposing them to a coffee they didn’t know exists.

"We’re excited to share Starbucks Reserve India Tata Nullore Estate with our customers.”
