Sharp’s Brewery has launched limited edition India pale ale (IPA) beer Rye Rock, which will be retailed across major outlets across the country until 30 June this year.

The company explained that its new beer, with 3.8% aklcohol-by-volume (ABV), is blended with rye spice malts and sweet caramel flavours. These tastes are said to complement the bitterness of orange and grapefruit ingredients.

The UK-based brewer will be donating £0.05 from every pint of Rye Rock sold to the Blue Flag charity, an organisation that works towards keeping Cornish beaches safer and clean.

"With the warmer weather finally here, this new refreshing brew is the perfect beer to enjoy on a summer’s day."

Sharp’s Brewery's senior brand manager James Nicholls said: “We’re very excited to announce the launch of Rye Rock, our latest limited release. With the warmer weather finally here, this new refreshing brew is the perfect beer to enjoy on a summer’s day.

“At Sharp’s we’re always exploring the diversity of our portfolio, and our limited releases are a fantastic way of producing exceptional products to sit alongside our much-loved favourites like Doom Bar and Atlantic."

For the past two years, Sharp’s Brewery has been supporting the Blue Flag charity and has raised nearly £28,000 from sales of its limited releases.
