PepsiCo's Greater China Region (GCR) has collaborated with Chinese online and mobile commerce company Alibaba Group to enhance its customer experience.

Through this collaboration, the company plans to introduce new marketing initiatives and integrated omnichannel solutions using Alibaba's data.

In 2012, PepsiCo opened its flagship store on Tmall, which is is operated by the Alibaba Group. Through this online store, the company has launched a series of new marketing initiatives.

PepsiCo's GCR president and chief executive officer (CEO) Mike Spanos said: "Developing our e-commerce business is one of PepsiCo's strategic priorities.

"Through this collaboration, we will fully take advantage of Alibaba's platform and data to carry out more innovative experiments, perfect PepsiCo's products and services, and enhance online consumer experiences.

Alibaba Group's vice-president Jet Jing said: "We are pleased to collaborate with PepsiCo, a leading multinational company.
